3 wheels on his wagon! Ian Smith posing for the camera in his superbly restored Scootacar Mk III.
The Scootacar was developed in 1957 to take advantage of the bubblecar boom of the time. It was designed and constructed by the Hunslet Engine Works of Leeds, Yorkshire, UK.
There were 3 Scootacar designs (I, II and III). The Mk III is shown.
An early advert for the Mk III.

What do I do if I visit a local rally in my microcar, and it turns out to be boring? I rig up my MICROBIKE, and leaving the car where it is, go somewhere better instead. Microbike>> http://www.roldroyd.karoo.net/zetabike/zetabike.htm

The car started to smoulder and suddenly - FLATCH - It went up in a massive puff of smoke. I couldn't believe my eyes, as I ran along the street with a 4 foot flame eminating from my arse! Lordy Struth I thought as I slapped my arse like some demented jockey on his steed. The situation was not assisted by the helpful bystander who removed a petrol can from the boot of his car in order to help quench the flames.
