Traditional Beeswax Block
For woodfilling, lubricating screws or as a wax polish.
We have been asked if we can supply this item for many years. A block of traditional hard beeswax such as that used in the days of our forebears, for polishing up wooden furniture. The wax is rubbed into the wooden surface, the excess is removed and the remainder is polished up to a bright shine. This is the job that generated the expression 'elbow grease'. Although much lamented since its departure from the shop shelves; this is a job for Masochists and those who wish to die early only.
We use a block in the workshop for rubbing screws against prior to driving them into hard wood - It does make the job considerably easier. Another use is as a filler on dented wood. Size: 15cm x 10cm x 3.8cm. Weight 500g.
